Today I’m returning to an old passion: writing on a personal website about issues, events, and resources of interest to those who enjoy the Great Lakes wilderness experience, and want to ensure that experience remains available to future generations. About a decade ago I ran a website called Sweetwater Cruising, which was dedicated to the Great Lakes wilderness experience of recreational boaters. As time passed, it became clear that what I was doing was of interest to far more people, including campers and kayakers. It also became clear that I did not have time to maintain an increasingly complex website, and I reluctanctly shut it down.
I’ve decided to have another go, this time keeping things much more simple by focussing on a blog format. I’ll be making postings as well on Twitter in support of this site. So stay tuned. And if there’s anything that you feel I should be paying attention to, let me know.
