Early-season NAVWARNS on Eastern Georgian Bay

If you’re hitting the water early this year on eastern Georgian Bay, pay attention to the NAVWARNS on navaids that are missing or out of position, issued April 30. For strip chart 2202, starboard day beacon DB-C168, on the small craft route north of 12 Mile Bay, is missing. So is green spar buoy GBH11 at Guy Rock near Copperhead Island, north of Sans Souci. And green spar buoy MQ1 on the northwest side of Beausoleil Island, near Payette Island, is out of position, having turned up on a nearby cottage island.

If you haven’t already, register for email notifications of the latest NAVWARNS for your particular charts.
